THE MOTOR CONTROL CENTER (MCC)
The MCC framework is bolted to the floor and wall framework. Kuchar Electric coordinates with manufactures like Square D, TB Woods and Allen Bradley; to build MCC's customized to your needs. Variable Frequency Drives (TB Woods) and soft starts (A/B) can be OEM factory built for a U.L. approved electrical system. We will also build customer specified soft starts and VFD's into an existing MCC lineup.
Maintenance and design experience adds safety features and versatility that is standard equipment in a Motor Control Center supplied by Kuchar Electric.
- Door interlocks, terminates power to the motor circuitry when a MCC starter compartment door is opened. This safety feature is highly regarded by MSHA.
- One control circuit transformer is included for 120 VAC power distribution.
- A 20 circuit lighting panel for utility power and other 120 VAC requirements.
- Lockouts for individual motors.
The motor conductors are sized for the highest horsepower capable for each starter size. Solid State overloads are used, this allows you to use receptacles and cord plugs on different horsepowers and not worry about conductor sizing in the trailer. The solid-state overloads are simply adjusted by using a small screwdriver. |
